What drives us?

It really is difficult to pinpoint what drives you in life...
It can be anything from a partner, to family, to perhaps the sheer weight of living. The tedious things that make up our routine can drive us sometimes..

At the start of this year I realized that I was living a life of routine. I did the same things; stay home, study, play games. Over and over again. And I think its harder to face yourself sometimes than to ignore the tattering at the back of your head.

Routine. What a dangerous idea. It is something the entire world has adopted. Society favors the prompt worker. The sharp, neat, well dressed business man. But it also needs the introverted extroverts. It needs its artists and musicians, its painters and writers. And it all is central to one core concept; meeting new people.

We can't live without other human beings because we are essentially pack animals. A family or group meal just fills you up a little more. A movie is a little bit funnier. A song is more exciting. A game thrills you more. An assignments feels more satisfying when cracked, and the mundane all of a sudden becomes familiar territory that is otherwise uncharted by your lonesome self.

I have never been a person who sets goals in life. And it is probably my biggest weakness. I am the quintessential frog. Leaping from a lily pad to the next, to the next. All while not really knowing what's up a head. This year I want to set goals for myself.

So here's to a new blog,
meeting new people,
making my first studio quality album,
getting to 10k subscribers on Youtube,
raising my disappointing GPA,
and leading a healthy life style.

I'll get back to you in 2014 and let you know how that went.
